United Thank Offering

Hello! My name is Nick Gordon and I am the new Julia Chester Emery intern for this year! I am a graduate student at New York University at the Gallatin School of Individual Studies. As part of my concentration, I studied in a variety of fields, including music education, religious education, and social justice, among others. Having been given the opportunity to work with the UTO and the RJCC (Reconciliation, Justice and Care Creation Team in the Presiding Bishop’s Staff) excites me greatly as it will help take on many of my academic and personal interests and pursue them in a new way !!

When I’m not in the classroom, I also work with the NYU Center for Global Spiritual Life, where I help manage various aspects of their programming, as well as Canterbury Downtown, which is a diocesan campus service in the Diocese of New York that seeks to serve students on all centers in the center. Manhattan. I also serve as a chaplain in my parish, St. John’s in Village NYC, where I was lucky enough to lead various initiatives. In my free time, I am also a passionate birder, knitter and a fan of classical music who likes to be outdoors. I look forward to joining the UTO team and immersing myself in all the exciting work ahead!
